Terms of Sale
Last updated: 24 September 2026
These terms apply to anyone who asks us for an appraisal through the Sell us your car page. They explain how the process works, what we need from you and what you can expect from us.
- 01
How it works
- Submission: you fill in the form with the vehicle details, photographs and your contact details.
- Appraisal: our team reviews the request.
- Offer: we reply with an offer within 48 working hours.
- Inspection: if the offer suits you, we see the vehicle and the documents in person.
- Closing: once the inspection is confirmed, we agree the final terms and formalise the deal.
- 02
What we ask of the seller
To move forward, we need you to:
- Be the owner of the vehicle or have the authority to sell it.
- Provide your identification documents and the vehicle's: registration book and proof of ownership.
- Have the vehicle customs-cleared and nationalised, or show proof of its customs status.
- Ensure the vehicle has no liens, seizures or unpaid fines.
- Give us truthful information about accidents, mileage and general condition.
- 03
Appraisal and offer
The appraisal and the offer we send you are not binding until the inspection. They are based on what you declare and on the photographs you sent.
If, at the inspection, the vehicle or the documents differ from what was declared, the offer may change. In that case we will explain why and you decide whether to continue.
- 04
Ways to sell
The terms for consignment and trade-in are agreed case by case.
- Direct sale: R-MAC buys the vehicle and pays you the agreed amount.
- Consignment: R-MAC displays and sells the vehicle on your behalf, and you receive the sale amount on the agreed terms.
- Trade-in: the vehicle counts as part of the payment for another vehicle from our showroom.
- 05
Payment
The payment method and timing are agreed in writing at closing, before the vehicle is handed over. The accepted payment methods are still to be confirmed and will be stated in the offer.
- 06
Costs and right to refuse
Asking for an appraisal costs you nothing.
R-MAC may refuse a vehicle at any stage, for example when its condition, documents or history do not match what we are looking for. Whenever possible, we will tell you why.
- 07
Photographs and seller data
We use the photographs and your data only to appraise the vehicle and to talk to you about the deal. We do not publish them or use them for any other purpose without your agreement.
Personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which also explains your rights.
- 08
Seller withdrawal
You may withdraw at any time before closing, without penalty. Just let us know using the company's contact details.
- 09
Contact
For any question about these terms or your request, contact us using the details in the footer or on the Contacts page and include the reference you received when you submitted the form.
